Can't Install McAfee

It says I need to uninstall AVG Free 7.5, but that is absolutely nowhere to be found on my computer. And that's preventing me from installing McAfee.

I've searched everywhere for a solution but just can't find one. :( I'm hoping there'll be help, here. :)

You could try an uninstaller program like Revo and see if it picks up AVG.

Do you have CCleaner? If not install and run it and click on Registry and click scan for issues. If it finds any issues click Fix selected issues. After you're all done with that reboot and try to install it again and see if you still get the error.

Have you tried reinstalling AVG 7.5 and then uninstalling it again?

If you don't have a copy of it lying around, you can probably pick it up at

Tried installing it, but can't because it says something about an error. But it's actually on my computer seeing as McAfee says I need to uninstall AVG 7.5

Code:

Local machine: installation failed
Installation:
Error: Action failed for directory update: setting directory access rights....
Invalid parameter specified.

EDIT:

Nope, it's installed and now uninstalled. McAfee is now on my computer. ^_^ Thanks. :)
