Since my last mouse's scroll wheel stop working, I bought a new mouse. It's a cheap MS basic optical mouse, and it likes to move my mouse pointer around while sitting idle on the desk. Can I stop that? Need I buy yet another mouse, and if so, what would I have to look for to avoid this?

It could be a number of things. First, what kind of surface is it on? Try putting it on some sort of different surface with a slight texture to it and see if that helps it. If not, try changing the mouse sensitivity in the control panel (assuming you're using Windows.)

Ooh, it seems to dislike my mouse pad. Works better on the table itself. How strange.
Thanks, Ben. :)

No problem, Trewert. It's a bit odd that it works on the table better but whatever works :)

I have the same issue with my mouse, it hates my mouse pad.

Thanks Jake. I'm still using that mouse on the table itself, which works well. :)
