Well, I do. B)
But the usual set up is so silly: You are trapped at some place, but all the stuff you need to escape is in there. I have yet to see one in "Mac Gyver style" where you have to be inventive to find your way out.

I played one years ago where you were trapped in a hotel or something and you had to get out and go to this other place but on the way there you had to find your way around other obstacles. It was pretty fun but it got sort of hard after a while. Everything you needed was right there too but it was a matter of picking out the thing that you needed which was anything but obvious most of the time.

Yes, I can hardly solve any of them on my own. The community efforts are fun, though. :D

The one that best sits in my mind is Shadowgate. I used to have that for my really old Mac and eventually my gameboy. That was the first one I ever defeated.

DK: That one you are talking about sounds like Deja Vu. I remember playing that game a ton and never defeating it.

Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?"/ Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."

It's very similar to that. I can't remember the name of it. It was a game that you could download for free and the graphics were done in a cartoon style but I'm finding that that doesn't mean anything since a LOT of them are made that way.

You sound like there are big, bad escape games available - I concentrate much on the flash files that seem to be published every day. Fun for a break.

There's a good variety of escape games. Some flash based that you can play online, some that you can download for free and there's probably some commercial ones too.
