I have heard a few people talk about avast and was wondering if it's any good. |

I personally haven't had any experience with it so unfortunately I can't give my opinion. |

Avast is good, it works well, however, I have had a few clients who set it up on there own accidentally install some kind of a trial version of it that is not free. Personally, if given the choice between Avast and Free AVG, I would go with Free AVG. Welcome to the board

HEADS UP! So I've been doing some testing lately and I've been getting a lot of false positives with AVG. Anything related to bots, key generators, etc seems to be blocked and deleted by AVG. I know there isn't a virus on my Archlord bot, but AVG sure seems to think there is. |

I'm trying out ClamAV right now. I'm not sure how effective it is, but I don't have any viruses that I know of...not that I'm going to get a ton of viruses by checking my email, which is all I've been doing lately. |

I use VirtualBox
 It's the only way I can get Ubuntu to work with my wireless NIC. Weird. I just need to work out how to get the right screen resolution.

Yeah I know some that use VM Ware with the Mac to install Windows. If I had a computer that had Ubuntu installed on it then I'd probably do the same instead of dual booting with Windows. Heck of a lot safer. I've been messing around with Dream Linux but right now it's anything but a dream. |
